Bishop Raphael O. Watson

Bishop Raphael 0.Watson was born in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia, to Mildred Coney Watson
Hart, although his grandparents raised him, Oliver James Frazier, and Juanita
Aldora Bell Morning Frazier.

He attended publicschool in Chatham County, after which he graduated from West Charlotte High
School, Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. He matriculated at
Central Piedmont Community College and Savannah Technical College with studies
in Business Administration.

Bishop Watson isemployed with First Chatham Bank of Savannah, Georgia, as a tellerRaphael acceptedChrist and was baptized at the early age of six at First Union Missionary
Baptist Church, under the pastorate of the late Reverend Pete Broxton, Sr., later moving to the Eastside ofSavannah, he joined Scott Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church (Resurrection Pentecostal Temple), under the leadership of Dr. Hazel Scott. Bishop Watson began his call to the ministry and was licensed as an evangelist in 1997. He received guidance under the direction of the late Rev. Matthew Southall Brown. In his religious walk, he has served in many positions and with many churches. Currently, he is a member of the New Historic New Ogeechee Church. Pastor Watson was ordained a Bishop on June7, 2020, and is very passionate about God. He is the founder of the Bethesda Temple Outreach Ministry.

Bishop Watson is adrum major for his community. He participated in many organizationsand served on numerous boards. He is also currently a member of the Sons of American Legion Post 500, a Board Member for the Martin Luther King, Jr., Observance Day Association serving on the Finance Committee, Co-Chair Education Committee, Gospel Fest, Unity Luncheon, and Parade Committees, and currently chair of the Memorial Worship Service.

He is a Southeast Jurisdiction of Ecclesiastical Leaders and Chief Apostles' Council member and
has served as District Elder. He joined the International Free and Accepted Modern Mason and Order of Eastern Star Incorporation, on August 18, 1994, focusing on the youth department. Watsonserves as Grand Joint Council Director and Vice Grand Joint Council Director of the Southeast National District of Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and many other groups.

A drum major for business, Raphael supports the Bynes dream. He has worked long days and nights in the mortuary office, and his business mind and compassionate heart combined have
provided Savannah's citizens with a funeral establishment that turns no one
away. Everyone who enters the office receives a dignified service regardless of
economic situation. Watson, aka"the funeral attendant with a heart," is known for helping families
in Savannah and surrounding areas. He believes that providing funeral service
is not a profession, but a ministry, and believes all God's children deserve a
dignified burial. His signature is the astounding remarks provided by the
family at the end of the service.

Connectionally,Watson is a member of the Georgia Funeral Service Practitioners Association and the First District of Georgia's Service Practitioners Association. He merits devotion and service and issteadfast in his belief in GOD.
